Video Art

Art that I have participated in the making of, under the medium of video.

At Night

At Night is a film project that I worked on at Brock University in 2018-19. The project took eight months to complete from team formation to showcase.

The project was student driven, with Adrian Thiessen (Foreground Media) and Tobias Wiegand (Morro Motion) mentoring.

I served in a wide variety of roles, chief among them being Lead Prop Art, Location Manager, and Set Designer.

The film was shown at an in-house event at the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts in 2019.

Top Ten Anime Battles Part 2

This piece of art is the second attempt this team had at recreating the feel of a comic book or a manga from stop-motion live-action source material. After our attempt the year prior, we came in to this project much better equipped for the intensity of the production. Given that we were a team of three game designers and a music producer, this is likely the best “animation” we will ever produce.

Anyone who is at all familiar with stop motion can surely understand our mental state after producing a fifteen minute short in just three days from storyboarding to final edit.

Brock University Urban Legends ep.6

The intention behind this piece is to display our annoyance with the things that modern mainstream media puts out under the guise of documentary. Basing our format off of things such as 'Hunting Bigfoot', we mounted a tongue-in-cheek criticism.

Adopting the overly serious attitude that these shows often have, even when the content that they show is clearly not worthy of it. We added our own comedic spin to it, which is not uncommon for the genre, and our acting skills are really not too far off the mark.

We chose our friend Kyle as our subject, as a reference to the culture of our cohort. People who spend significant time in the shared lab space ends up being known by particular traits. In this case, Kyle is known in part for grabbing peoples things when they're not looking (and sometimes when they are). We found his mannerisms to be ideal for playing the sort of mythical being that we needed.
